Agisoft Metashape Hardware

Based on Puget Systems’ testing, here are the hardware recommendations for Agisoft Metashape¹:

Processor (CPU)

  • Intel Core Ultra 9 285K: Among the fastest CPUs for Metashape.
  • AMD Ryzen 9000 Series: Top options include Ryzen 9 9900X and 9950X.

Video Card (GPU)

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX Series: Recommended for their performance in Metashape.
  • Multiple GPUs: Can boost performance, especially for depth map-heavy projects.

Memory (RAM)

  • Based on Image Resolution: Adjust RAM according to the megapixels of your photos. For example, 12MP images require less RAM than 50MP images.

Storage (Drives)

  • NVMe SSDs: Best for OS and Metashape installation.
  • Secondary SSD: Recommended for active projects.
  • Traditional Hard Drives: Suitable for long-term storage and backup.
